Mike is now blogging! Go to zoecarnate: the blog!"Here is an exhaustive roundup of Christian sites...The emphasis is on "alternative" Christian resources. There are enough surprises to draw you in and keep you engaged for hours."
The collaborative book project is now available! Written in weeks and featuring Scot McKnight, Jo Guldi, Kester Brewin and plenty more (They even let yours truly, Mike, in. *blush*), all proceeds benefit the anti-slavery Not For Sale Campaign! Note: Inclusion in my library does not imply unilateral endorsement - especially when it comes to Christian historical fiction romances. But you’ll find some interesting reads in here, for sure. If you have LibraryThing look me up! I’m under ‘zoecarnate.’ Thanks to a generous award from the Millennia Foundation, we are able to begin a much-need renovation of zoecarnate.com! We still have a ways to go, though, and we need your help. Your $3.00 donation will go a long way to help make us better than ever. Donate by clicking the link below or click here for more information. Thanks so much! Welcome. You've just stepped into a bold new universe. It's the universe as it is, right underneath our noses. It is the universe as it could be, if we all get to know each other, started swapping ideas, and praying with each other. You've just stumbled into the Library of the Alternative Christian Web. Picture, if you will, the most eclectic library on the planet. In here are venerated old tomes and exuberant new scribbles, on shelves that stretch up arced ceilings and into your living room. These "books" are created, down through the millennia, by mavericks and ne'er-do-wells like yourself: Rag-tag seekers who are desperate for the Spirit's stirring, to reveal the face of Father God in His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ. Mike Morrell and Philip Scriber (that's us) are your librarians. We've buried ourselves in these volumes and are at your service. More than a broad Google, search, we've scoured the Internet for only the very best, and compiled these visual and audio treasures in a way that hopefully feels natural makes sense. Feel free to explore the lavish riches of the Lord with us, herein.
PS: Who are we? We are former roommates and alumni from Berry College and are part of a house church community in the Raleigh/Durham, NC, USA-area. Be in touch! PPS: What has been in motion for five years (sparking a conference at Duke a couple of years ago) is now being born in our midst! Namely, an intentional house church community in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. Mike and Jasmin have moved, as well as around a dozen other denizens of the divine. An article covering our initial conference at Duke can be read here. Special Note: Wanna start a revolution? Then let's all meet face to face! One awesome way to do this is through Meetup. Meetup is a really cool program/website that facilitates the gathering of like-minded people the planet over, in your hometown. You put yourself on, tell where you're from, and pick out one day a month for you all to get together. Below are the two meetups that we're part of. If everyone who visited this site signed on to one or both of these Meetups, we'd all be more connected. We could eat together, share ideas, and maybe even touch the manifest presence of God! Check them out: And without further ado...

There are enough surprises to draw you in and keep you engaged for hours.” Kewl! And quite true, as you gotta know by now! FIND A CHURCHHere you can find a pretty decent church. Made of flawed people certainly, but working to overcome flawed premises. What is "decent" IOHO (In Our Humble Opinion)s? Well, a church where knowing Jesus is the central focus, where grace is lived and where authenticity is cherished. And, hopefully, where fully participatory body life and community can grow. We realize that this is a tall order and we certainly haven't visited all of these churches to be able to personally endorse them. However, we've been around the block a few times (putting in about 10 denominations between the two of us), so we've sifted through the ones that look like a nightmare even on the Web.
